![]() The RTL8139D (note the D) was introduced after the liveCD was made. Kinldy lrt me know how do i tell the kernel to use the module 8139too ands use it for a specific device. I feel that the kernel is unable to configure the device. Have also tried modprobe 8139too to load the drivers, which loads with no error but still the ethernet adapter is not shown by ifconfig. On lspci I get ethernet adapter which is detected correctly as RTL8139, but ifconfig does not show the eth0 adapter. The PCI card has the RTL8139D chip that is well detected by windows. ![]() Trying to install gentoo with livecd 2007.0 and it does not detect my ethernet card on boot. ![]() Posted: Sun 2:38 pm Post subject: LiveCD Does not detect ethernet card Gentoo Forums Forum Index Installing Gentoo Gentoo Forums :: View topic - LiveCD Does not detect ethernet card ![]()
